Bicycle Resources and Club Links

Great Western Bike Rally Bicycle clubs from all around California have always been big supporters of the Rally, both by their member's attendance and by providing the numerous volunteers required to make the Rally work. We, in turn, support bicycle clubs as one of the best ways to enjoy the sport of cycling. If you do not belong to one, you should consider joining a local club.

Why should you join a club?

Riding companions. Tired of riding by yourself? Within a club you can usually find a few members who fit your riding style and abilities.
Routes. Sure, you can make up your own, but a club will generally have well researched routes to all the best cycling spots in the area and they already know what streets to avoid etc.
Motivation. It's always easier to get yourself out of bed and on your bike when you know some friends will be waiting for you.
Bicycling knowledge. Considering some new bike component or taking a tour, but you are not sure. Club members are a great resource for the pros and cons on almost anything connected with cycling.
Low cost. Usually you get all this for a relatively modest annual dues, and you often get an informative newsletter thrown in.
